Delaney Aldrich has earned a Coyote Commitment Achievement scholarship awarded by the University of South Dakota to seniors who have been admitted for Fall 2018. The award is based on strong standardized test scores and cumulative grade point average. Delaney plans to major in kinesiology and sports management.
Roxanne Craig was chosen by Waubay’s American Legion Auxiliary as Legionette of the Year. She is presently serving as Auxiliary president. She is active in planning and sponsoring the annual Halloween party, turkey shoot cake walk, serving for funerals, Give 10 to Education and is an officer. Working in the former Legion Theatre, distributing poppies and creating poppy posters made her aware of patriotism at a young age. Her parents and grandparents were active in the Brady-Monson Post 129 and her mother Bonnie Kirchmeier is a current member. Craig is a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and served as a Sunday school teacher, on the church council and in the choir. She has three children – Joshua, Lance and Desiree – and 11 grandchildren.
