New sanctuary

Freedom Church will have its first service in the new sanctuary July 15, 10 a.m. at 615 Main St., Webster.

 

Car show

Cruisin’ Classics Car Club’s car show is July 22 noon to 3 p.m. at Museum of Wildlife, Science & Industry, Webster. Registration begins at 10 a.m. Lunch will be available on the grounds.

 

Waubay Fun Fest

Waubay Fun Fest begins July 20, 5 p.m. with a wine tasting on Main Street and alumni grill out at 5:30. July 21 events begin with a fun run at 8 a.m. and ends July 22 with a poker run at 12:30 p.m.

 

Wrestling clinic

James Valley Tractor Club tractor drive is July 15, noon starting in Eden.

Waubay Fire Department steak supper is July 21, 4:30-8:30 p.m. at Detour Bar, Waubay.

 

QuickBooks training

QuickBooks: The Basics training will be July 24, 8:45 a.m. to noon at the Lake Region Business Center conference room, Webster. Topics to be covered include chart of accounts, customers, vendors, invoicing, check writing, bills and reports. Certified QuickBooks instructor Kelly Weaver with the Small Business Development Center will conduct the workshop. Registration deadline is July 20. Health workshop

Better Choices Better Health Workshop is Wednesdays July 25-Aug. 29 at Pleasant View Apartments community room, 1:30-4 p.m. The six-week self-management workshop for adults living with a chronic condition touches on managing pain, fatigue and stress, healthy eating, relaxation techniques, medication how-to and emotions. Roy Hope program

Roy Hope patriotic program is July 22, 7 p.m. at Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church, rural Eden. Donations will be used for an outdoor cross and sign project.
