Day County Ministerial Association is sponsoring food boxes through the USDA Farmer to Families Food Box Program. Boxes of produce, dairy and meat may be picked up Tuesdays, July 14-Aug. 25 at Webster Armory, 3-6 p.m. during food pantry hours.
Friday night drive-in movies featuring The Chosen series are being shown at Webster Armory July 10 and 17 beginning with a prayer at 9:45 p.m. These events are sponsored by Webster United Methodist, St. John’s and American Lutheran churches. See ad in this issue for more details.
United Methodist Church parking lot services at 11 a.m. continue through July on the south side of the Webster Armory.
Waubay Fire Department steak supper is July 18, 4:30-8:30 p.m. at the fire hall.
City of Webster council meeting is July 6, 6:30 p.m. in the City Hall council room. Agenda includes public appointments and hearings at 7:00 bids paving streets, 7:15 bids resealing streets, 7:25 hearing for variance; business items; building permits and executive session if needed.
Webster American Legion Auxiliary blood drive is July 8, 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at Tabor Lutheran Church (former Shopko location). Sign up by going to vitalant.org and use sponsor code: webster or call Charlotte Hoverstadt or Carol Richardt to make an appointment. COVID-19 precautions will be taken and donor blood will be tested for antibodies to the virus.
