Work to begin
on Highway 12

The state Department of Transportation announces reconstruction work on Highway 12 between Andover and Bristol will begin sometime this month.
The 10 mile stretch of this four lane project involves cold milling asphalt concrete resurfacing and process in place of asphalt concrete shoulder work.
Traffic will be controlled with flaggers and pilot cars. The completion date is expected to be Sept. 1.
Headstone unveiling
for Woodrow Keeble
The Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate Tribal Council and the family of MSgt. Woodrow Wilson Keeble will hold a headstone unveiling ceremony honoring this Congressional Medal of Honor recipient at 1 p.m. May 17 at the Sisseton and St. Peter’s Cemetery, in Sisseton.

Roslyn meeting
Roslyn School Board will meet May 12, 7 p.m. Agenda includes setting a joint board meeting between Roslyn and Webster May 20, 7:30 p.m. in Roslyn; three year contract with Harlow’s School Bus Service; sharing counselors with Webster, teachers with Waubay and Digital Dakota Network and executive session for negotiations.
Webster meeting
Webster School Board will meet May 12, 7:30 p.m. Agenda includes accept resignation, transportation agreement with Harlow’s, comprehensive plan for special ed, technology plan, surplus property, summer custodial workers, reports and executive session, if needed.
Blood drive
There will be a blood drive at Christ the King Parish Center, Webster May 12, noon to 6 p.m. appointments can by made by calling the Webster Area chamber, 345-4668. Walk-ins are welcome.
VFW meeting
VFW Post 4690, Webster regular meeting is May 13, 7 p.m.
Nursing home tours
Bethesda Home, Webster open house is May 16, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in observance of National Nursing Home Week.
Golf meeting
Webster Golf Association meeting is May 27, 8 p.m. at Webster Golf Course clubhouse.
Service training
Off the Hook Customer Service training is May 27, 2-5 p.m. and May 28, 9 a.m.-noon at Ft. Sisseton State Historic Park.
Anniversary Mass
Fr. Ron Garry will celebrate his 25th ordination anniversary Mass May 16, 7 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, Webster.
Rent a kid
Rent a Webster FCCLA Chapter member to help with summer chores, etc.
Babysitting class
Youth babysitting class is May 27, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at Day County Courthouse basement.
