Day County is filled with lakes and what’s the point of the lake if you can’t go fishing on it? Jacob (Jack) Gonsoir is 54-year-old who has lived in Day County his entire life and fell in love with fishing at a very young age.

FFA beautifies nursing home

Webster FFA completed a community service project May 29 when they planted flowers at the nursing home. Ava Bjerke, chairman of the Committee of Building Agricultural Community Service led the project.
Rose Grode is a 73-year-old currently residing at Sun Dial Manor. Grode was a teacher at Waubay school for many years and has always loved helping children. Progressive ReadingSpring outing of Progressive Reading Circle was enjoyed by 12 members. Monte Rougemount, a representative of the Museum of Wildlife, Science & Industry, gave a tour of the added section explaining many interesting items to the complex. Members met at a local restaurant for lunch.

Anderson said she believes a community should be there for each other and it’s important to be fair to everyone. “People in a community should be connected and should be there for one another.
